Microsoft and Nvidia will work with a number of Vietnamese companies to deploy AI and develop solutions
CTOnews.com Sept. 11, due to demographic dividend and other factors, Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries are expected to become new world factories in the future, while China will further accelerate the transformation of high-end manufacturing and achieve high-tech industrial upgrading.
The United States and Vietnam have now reached a series of new agreements, including $7.5 billion (currently about 55.2 billion yuan) worth of aircraft orders, digital economy education and semiconductor design centers, and will increase investment to resolve the legacy of the 1975 Vietnam War.
On September 10, local time, the White House issued a statement announcing that Microsoft and Trusting Social, a Vietnamese AI financial technology company, had reached an agreement to create "generative AI-based solutions tailored for Vietnam and emerging markets."
In addition, Nvidia will work with Vietnamese software group FPT, Vietnam military Electronics and Telecommunications Company and Vietnam's largest group company VinGroup, as well as FPT and Viettel to deploy AI in the cloud computing, automotive and healthcare industries.
The statement also mentioned that Meta Platforms, together with Vietnam's National Innovation Center, will announce the launch of the Vietnam Innovation Challenge (Vietnam Innovation Challenge) project, which aims to promote the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The White House says Amkor Technology of Arizona will start operating a new $1.6 billion plant in Beining Province in October. (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 11.776 billion yuan). Marvell Technology of Delaware and Synopsys of California will invest in semiconductor design and incubation centers in Ho Chi Minh City and Saigon, respectively.
