Musk reiterated that Tesla Automobile will "cancel the physical rearview mirror" in the future.
CTOnews.com, September 11 (Xinhua) Tesla claimed at the 2019 Cybertruck launch that the model will use electronic rearview mirrors instead of traditional physical rearview mirrors, and Tesla is far from alone in keeping this idea, such as Volkswagen's XL1, Lexus ES and Hyundai IONIQ 6.
For automakers, the removal of physical rearview mirrors can lead to lower wind resistance, and the car's range parameters are relatively better, thanks to reduced weight and wind resistance.
Musk reiterated on the X platform a few days ago that Tesla's future car will not need a physical scope and rearview mirror.
▲ source Musk posted on the X platform, but CTOnews.com found that the new Model 3 launched by Tesla earlier this month still has a physical rearview mirror, while Tesla also quietly added a triangular physical rearview mirror to the Cybertruck, but it is uncertain whether the officially launched Cybertruck will still maintain the relevant design.
▲ 's new Tesla Model 3 still has physical rearview mirrors. According to China's "performance and installation requirements of indirect Vision Devices for Motor vehicles" officially implemented on July 1, 2023, it is mentioned that car companies can install electronic rearview mirrors and are allowed to replace traditional rearview mirrors. However, it is not known when Tesla plans to completely cancel the physical rearview mirror.
