Qualcomm announces donation of 8 million yuan to continue to support China's rural development and construction
CTOnews.com, September 13, Qualcomm announced today that Qualcomm donated RMB 8 million to the China Rural Development Foundation through Qualcomm Wireless Communication Technology (China) Co., Ltd. to support projects in education, agriculture, health care and other areas in key areas of rural revitalization.
As previously reported by IT House, in June 2020, Qualcomm's Wireless Care Program and the China Poverty Alleviation Foundation (now renamed China Rural Development Foundation) launched the first phase of the "Smart Agriculture" project to improve agricultural management and operation through wireless technology.
According to reports, Qualcomm's "Wireless Care" program is part of Qualcomm's Tech for Good Initiative, which aims to bring advanced wireless technology to the people and communities who need it most.
