CTOnews.com, September 13, Adobe announced that after months of testing, its Firefly-generated AI model has been officially launched in Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Express, Adobe Experience Cloud and other applications.

This means that Firefly AI features that were previously available only in beta versions, such as Illustrator's vector recoloring, Express's text-to-image effects, and Photoshop's generation fill tools, are now available to most users.

Adobe has also launched a separate Firefly web application that allows users to experience some generative capabilities without subscribing to specific Adobe Creative Suite applications. Adobe Express Premium and Firefly Web applications will be included in the paid Creative Cloud subscription plan.

Adobe Firefly for Enterprise has also been officially launched and may be attractive to companies looking for a generative AI model of business security because Adobe trains Firefly with Adobe Stock and public domain content, which is not subject to copyright restrictions. Adobe says it is also developing ways for customers to customize Firefly models with their own materials to generate customized content that suits their brands.

It is worth mentioning that all content generated using the Firefly feature contains content credentials-a digital "nutrition tag" supported by the content authenticity initiative, with attribute metadata attached and identifying that the image was generated by AI. The label displays information about the name of the asset, the date it was created, the tool used, and any edits. CTOnews.com notes that Adobe is one of 15 technology companies that have committed to the White House to develop technologies that recognize AI-generated images and share security data to promote responsible use of generative AI.
