Apple said in a statement that it will release software updates for French iPhone 12 users to adapt to the agreement used by French regulators, and it expects the iPhone 12 to continue to be sold in the French market. In response, ANFR, the French regulator, said it would test software updates provided by Apple. ANFR, the French radiation monitoring agency, notified Apple after testing the iPhone 12 and found that the phone's specific absorptivity (SAR) was slightly higher than the legal limit, Barrow said.
