The Mac Pro model with M2 Ultra chip was launched in June 2023. The desktop has the same design as the Intel processor-based model launched in 2019, but because of the unified architecture of Apple Silicon, it does not support graphics cards, and users cannot upgrade memory. Apple recommends that customers who do not need PCIe extensions should consider buying Mac Studio.

The refurbished Mac Pro is similar to the new model, with a power cord, a mouse and a smart keyboard with Touch ID.
