Apple iOS / iPadOS 17 upgrades "Voice memo" to encrypt headings stored in iCloud

CTOnews.com, Sept. 20, according to Apple's official update log, since iOS 17, iPadOS 17 and macOS Sonoma, Voice memo encrypts not only the recording itself, but also the title of the recording stored in iCloud.

After this adjustment takes effect, on devices with older software, the Voice memo may show the date of the recording instead of the previous title.

Starting with iOS 17, iPadOS 17 and macOS Sonoma, the titles of voice memo recordings stored in iCloud are also encrypted.

Due to this new encryption feature, when you update one of your Apple devices to iOS 17, iPadOS 17, or macOS Sonoma, your other devices that have not been updated (with an old version of "Voice memo") may display the date and time of the recording (for example, "2023-08-11T07:53:31Z") as a title instead of the previous recording title.
