Microsoft Teams Rooms and Teams Display launch process of phasing out Cortana
CTOnews.com, September 20, Microsoft today issued a press release announcing that the phase-out plan has been launched on September 15 this year and that Cortana voice assistance will no longer be supported on any Teams Rooms device or Teams Display in the coming weeks.
Users will not be able to enable Cortana through the "Cortana" wake-up word or call button, and the push-to-talk feature will no longer be supported.
CTOnews.com Note: after Cortana voice assistance is deprecated, Microsoft recommends that users join, start or end a meeting, add a name, number, and call someone through the console or touch screen.
Microsoft will provide exciting new AI features to help customers work faster and smarter, and is committed to helping customers with Microsoft voice-assisted technology achieve a smooth transition.
