Russian Soyuz MS-23 spacecraft has landed and three astronauts have returned to Earth.
Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens for the delivery of clues about the past. CTOnews.com, September 27, 14:17 Moscow time on September 27 (19:17 on September 27, Beijing time), the Russian Soyuz MS-23 spacecraft landed and the three astronauts on board returned to Earth: Russian astronauts Sergei Prokopiyev, Dmitry Patrin and American astronaut Frank Rubio.
CTOnews.com noted that the three astronauts returning to Earth aboard the Soyuz MS-23 spacecraft arrived at the International Space Station on September 21, 2022. The three astronauts were originally scheduled to return to Earth this spring, but on December 15 last year, the Russian Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft suffered a coolant leak, forcing two astronauts to stay on the International Space Station until September 27 this year. The TASS news agency also said that the Soyuz MS-23 spacecraft was launched to ensure the safe return of the three astronauts.
The trio will fly from the landing site to Karaganda, Kazakhstan, after which Rubio will board a NASA plane and return to Houston. It is worth mentioning that Rubio is now the record holder for the longest single space flight in the United States. On Sept. 11, he broke the 355-day record held by NASA astronaut Mark Vande Hei and became the first American to spend a full year in space a few weeks later.
