French government approves Apple's software upgrade on iPhone 12 phones to solve radiation problems

"Apple has two weeks to respond," Barrow said. "if they don't, I'm going to order a recall of all iPhone 12 in circulation. The rules are the same for everyone, including digital giants."

Subsequently, Apple said in a statement that it would release software updates for French iPhone 12 users to adapt to the agreement used by French regulators, and Apple expects the iPhone 12 to continue to be sold in the French market. The company added: "this is related to the specific testing protocols used by French regulators, not safety issues."

According to CTOnews.com, a source from France's Ministry of Digital economy told Reuters on Tuesday that French authorities had received a software update from Apple for its iPhone 12 and were reviewing it.
