CTOnews.com, October 2 (Xinhua)-- Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X (Twitter), said in a speech at Vox Media's Code 2023 technology conference that X now has 225 million daily active users, tens of millions less than before it was acquired by Musk, or 11.6%.

After the meeting, X adjusted its number of daily active users to 245 million, The Information reported. Before specifically saying that X has 225 million active users, Linda mentioned the number of daily active users of "2-250 million" in the interview. She also said that X has 50,000 communities, and the number of participants has increased since June.

CTOnews.com learned from X that Musk had 254.5 million daily active users in the week before he took over Twitter, and even with the revised figure, X still lost millions of about 3.7 per cent of daily active users compared with before Musk's acquisition.

She further said that X currently has a record 550m monthly active users, which will be higher than the 541 million "monthly users" that Musk shared in his July post.
