CTOnews.com October 2 news, the latest statistical report released by Statcounter, a market survey agency, shows that the proportion of Windows 11 operating system among global PC users in September 2023 is 23.64%.

From the broken line of the chart, we can see that since the share of Windows 11 system exceeded 23% for the first time in April this year, the share has been stagnant in the following months.

The operating system that accounts for the largest proportion of PC users is still Windows 10. Since April this year, its market share has been maintained at more than 71%. In September, Windows 10 still had a 71.62% share.

The third-largest operating system, Windows 7, had a share of 3.33 per cent in September, while the share of Windows 8 / XP remained below 1 per cent.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Microsoft announced late last month that it would close free upgrades from Windows 7 and 8 to Windows 11 and 10. This means that users can no longer activate the Windows 10 Placement 11 system during installation using the product key of Windows 7 Plus 8.
