The "WWE 2K22" game server will be shut down early next year and will be on sale for less than two years.
CTOnews.com October 3 news, 2K has confirmed that WWE 2K22 online service plans to close early next year, and said it is now "the best time" to "upgrade" to the latest WWE 2K23.
2K announced that WWE 2K22 servers will be discontinued on January 3, 2024, and all online modes and features, including online competitions and community creation, will no longer be available.
CTOnews.com found that WWE 2K22 will have the shortest online service cycle of WWE games in recent years, shutting down less than 22 months after launch, while WWE 2K19 lasted 45 months and WWE 2K20 lasted 32 months.
WWE 2K22 was released in March 2022, ending WWE's October "New Year" sales. WWE 2K23 was released a year later on March 14, 2023, and according to Metacritic data, WWE 2K23 's evaluation scores were good, with multiple platforms maintaining around 80 points.
