CTOnews.com Apple CEO Tim Cook recently filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission that he sold about $41 million worth of stock, his biggest sell-off in more than two years.

Cook sold 511,000 Apple shares for after-tax earnings of about $41 million (CTOnews.com notes: currently about 300 million yuan), but he still owns about 3.28 million Apple shares, according to SEC filings.

It is worth mentioning that Cook's annual salary has just been cut by 40% to 49 million US dollars. As part of the pay adjustment, Cook's performance-linked stock award this year has also increased from 50% to 75%.

By comparison, Cook received $99.4 million in compensation in 2022, including $3 million in base salary, about $83 million in stock incentives and bonuses.

In addition to cook, other apple executives disclosed stock sales, including senior vice presidents derick o'brien and kathleen adams, who each sold $11.3 million in stock.

According to public sources, Cook last sold shares on a large scale in August 2021, when he sold more than $750 million in Apple shares after a decade as CEO, earning about $355 million net income after taxes.
