China CRRC Intelligent driving bus is in trial operation in France

CTOnews.com France's first self-driving bus, developed by CRRC, began trial operation in France's Val-de-Marne province on October 7 and will transport passengers under real traffic conditions.

It is understood that the bus is CRRC electric city bus series C12AI, body length 12 meters, can implement all-round real-time interaction of people, vehicles, road dynamic information. It is the first 12-meter autonomous bus in France to receive an open road operating permit.

CTOnews.com notes that the smart driving bus completed its trial run on December 7, 2022 in the suburbs of Paris, France. CRRC Electric has also worked with a number of French companies to optimize the "intersection priority" technology, reducing vehicle travel time from 40 minutes to 23 minutes across the entire road section. In 2024, CRRC Electric will provide three 12-meter intelligent driving vehicles to Paris, France for line operation.
