CTOnews.com, Oct. 9, according to thepaper.cn, pinduoduo responded to rumors that many cross-border platforms "began to collect commissions", saying it was pure misinformation.

Reported that many cross-border "customer service outsourcing service agreement" has clearly stipulated, "the purpose of this agreement is to further clarify the rights and obligations of both parties, your settlement will not be affected by the signing of this agreement", that is, continue to follow the original "merchant 0 yuan, 0 commission" rule, no different from before. And the relevant situation has been explained with some merchants.

CTOnews.com found that Interface News said yesterday that Temu had launched a new agreement to sellers, the customer Service Outsourcing Service Agreement, in which the 5/1000 service fee was interpreted as a sign that the platform was starting to charge commissions.

According to the new agreement, Party A (Temu) has the right to charge a service fee according to the amount excluding tax (including credit) × 5 ‰ actually paid by users under the store order. If the order is refunded, the service charge will not be charged at the time of the refund, but the service fee already collected shall not be refunded. At the same time, Party B hereby unconditionally and irrevocably agrees and authorizes the platform cashier to deduct the corresponding service charge directly from the sale payment.

At present, Temu has been launched in a number of overseas markets, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, as well as Japan and South Korea in Asia, many of which are priced at less than 0.90 US dollars or 1 pound, still attracting users at low prices.
