CTOnews.com, October 13 (Xinhua)-- streaming giant Netflix has announced plans to open a series of new retail stores called Netflix House, where fans can indulge in the world of "Strange things", "Squid Games", "Bridget" and more of their favorite movies and TV shows.

Netflix's retail business stems from the company's experiments with pop-up stores over the past few years, Bloomberg reported Thursday. Josh Simon, vice president of consumer products at Netflix, said fans can buy clothes, taste themed food and participate in live experiences, such as obstacle training grounds like squid games.

Netflix will open its first two Netflix House stores in the United States in 2025 and then expand around the world. Each store will take turns to set up facilities, including ticket shows and restaurants, offering everything from fast leisure to high-end dining, desserts and food inspired by impromptu shows such as cooking shows and popular dramas.

In order to let fans know what Netflix House will offer, the company held "Queen's Ball: Bridgeton experience" in 10 cities in North America, where fans realized their Bridgeton dream on one night, drinking and dancing to the classical music of their favorite pop songs.

The company also opened a pop-up restaurant called Netflix Bites, where fans can eat food and drinks made by chefs on cooking shows, as well as frozen pizzas and ice creams under the "Strange things" brand.
