Self-defense developer Avalanche has announced that it will open a new studio in Canada and is producing the game "Contraband".

CTOnews.com October 16 news, according to foreign media VGC reported that "self-defense" game developer Avalanche Studios Group (Avalanche Studio) announced plans to open a new studio in Montreal, Canada.

▲ Avalanche Studios Group's Logo is understood to have announced the move after the acquisition of Monster Closet, a Montreal-based studio founded by a team of senior game developers with experience at Ubisoft in 2021.

Monster Closet developers have previously worked on games such as Halo Wars 2, isolated Island Horror: primitive killing, Prince of Persia in 2008, Assassin's Creed 4: black Flag and Hyper Scape.

Relevant personnel have been integrated into the three creative departments of Avalanche Studios Group: Avalanche Studios (game "self-defense"), Expansive Worlds (game "The Hunter") and Systemic Reaction (game "Second Extinction").

In addition to the Montreal studio that will be set up, ▲ Avalanche Studios Group's most famous game "self-Defense" series has offices in Malmo, Sweden, New York, USA and Liverpool, England.

After inquiry, CTOnews.com learned that Avalanche Studios Group is currently developing "Contraband", which will be released by Xbox Game Studios and will be aimed at mainframes and PC. The new IP is described as "a smuggler's paradise set in the fictional 1970s Bayan world" and will focus on vehicle combat.
