IDC: annual expenditure on generative AI will grow by 73% over the next five years and is expected to reach $143 billion in 2027

Thanks to AI tuyere, industry-related expenditure will grow by an average of 73.3% per year. In 2027, enterprises will spend US $143 billion (currently about RMB 1.05 trillion) on generative AI solutions.

IDCIDC, the source of ▲, believes that generative AI is not a "fleeting trend or hype". In fact, the technology will have far-reaching significance and business impact, and it will change the way human beings work, play and interact with the world.

Rick Villars, group vice president of global research at IDC, believes that the growth rate of generative AI will be limited to a certain extent by 2025 due to the transfer of job types and changes in resource allocation, but industry expenditure will still increase gradually.

IDC believes that generative AI will be widely used in a variety of products in the future. at present, many technology companies have integrated AI into their own search products, and in the future, with the emergence of more large language models, corresponding AI tools will emerge.
