CTOnews.com Neta Auto, an electric vehicle brand owned by Zhejiang Hezhong New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd., will open a R & D center and assembly plant in Abu Dhabi's new smart and autonomous vehicle industry (SAVI) park in United Arab Emirates, China Daily reported on October 18.

Led by Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) and Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), the project, headquartered in Masdar City, will provide fully integrated cluster facilities and value-added services to support the design, testing and manufacturing of autonomous vehicle applications.

Nezha Auto's facility at SAVI will serve as a research and development hub for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and will be the company's third research and development facility (CTOnews.com Note: The first two are in Shanghai and Hong Kong, respectively). It will also provide regional services, including sales, marketing, import and export, and aftermarket components.
