It is said that the new iPad Air, unlike the existing 12.9in iPad Pro, will not use a mini LED display, but will use the same LCD technology as the current 10.9in iPad Air.

Considering that the existing iPad Pro offers both 11-inch and 12.9-inch versions, the industry also believes that a new size should be added to the iPad Air, so the 12.9-inch iPad Air model is actually quite reasonable.

In addition, a recent rumor from 9to5Mac that Apple was developing two iPad Air 6 models was just speculation, but it was said at the time that Apple might release a larger version of the iPad Air to match the existing 10.9in version, while the DigiTimes report mentioned a specific large-screen iPad Air model for the first time.

In other words, the 12.9in iPad Air will be available as soon as the sixth generation of devices, while a new iPad Air with a M2 chip is expected to be released in the next few months.
