Sources say Apple plans to insert ads in original narrative podcasts
CTOnews.com, Oct. 20 (Xinhua)-- Apple plans to insert advertising links to highly watched narrative podcasts in its podcast app, according to Bloomberg.
CTOnews.com learned from the report that Apple has found a season sponsor for the second season of After the Whistle, a football-themed narrative podcast that has not been advertised since its launch.
Bloomberg reported that Apple plans to sell advertising space for original podcasts such as "The Line", "Hooked and Run", "Bambi" and "Run".
At present, Apple's podcast app mainly makes money by taking a percentage of subscriptions. When users buy and subscribe to some blog programs, Apple will draw a certain percentage of the subscription fees paid, and the latest advertising will bring new revenue to Apple.
