Apple officially launches installment service Apple Pay Later in the United States
CTOnews.com, Oct. 25 (Xinhua)-- Apple has launched a new payment service called Apple Pay Later, which allows users to choose to pay in installments when buying goods without paying interest. The service was first announced in June 2022 and was originally scheduled to be officially launched at the end of last year, but due to some reasons, it was postponed to the end of March this year in the form of an "early visit". Now, the service is officially available to all iPhone users in the United States.
The Apple Pay Later service allows iPhone and Mac users in the United States to divide their payments into four installments within six weeks without paying additional interest or fees. The service will be used online and offline by any store that supports Apple Pay, and when users use Apple Pay to shop, they can choose to split the fee, and the purchase page will specify the amount and due time of the individual payment.
CTOnews.com noted that in addition to "Apple Pay Later", Apple has other official news today. On the one hand, the expected iOS 17.1 system update was not released as scheduled; on the other hand, Apple announced that it would hold an online special event with the theme of "coming fast" at 8 a.m. Beijing time on October 31, when there may be a new product release.
