The keyboard mapping function supports Xbox Elite Elite handle 2 and Xbox accessible handles, and players can use the Xbox Accessories app to map the buttons of the handle.

Jonathan Hildebrandt, chief team manager of Xbox, said in a blog post: "Keyboard remapping has always been a required feature of the PC gaming and accessibility community, and it helps to expand games with many commands, limited remapping capabilities or unsupported handles."

CTOnews.com found that another new feature of the October firmware update is the ability to import game screenshots into Clipchamp, a built-in video editor for Windows 11.

In the "Import Media" section of Clipchamps, players will now find a "Xbox" tab that allows them to browse and import videos saved on Xbox cloud storage and make simple edits.

In addition, Microsoft is updating the diagnostic data controls available to Xbox players to account-based processes. Users only need to select once and use other devices (such as Xbox hosts, Xbox cloud games (beta), PC, and mobile devices) to automatically update to use the same diagnostic data delivery settings.

The October firmware update also brings an experimental feature in which selected players will be able to send party invitations through the profile page and join friends' games without browsing the friend list.
