Musicians play Microsoft WinXP boot ringtones on 11 musical instruments

CTOnews.com, October 27 (Xinhua) musician Joe Porter recently shared a video on his YouTube channel showing the use of 11 instruments to play Windows XP boot ringtones.

These 11 instruments include Marimba, Theremin, Desk Bells, retro Stylophone, bell, xylophone, Cosmophone, glass lute, Kalimba and so on.

At the end of the video, he opens an old-fashioned laptop again, showing the ringtone of WinXP booting into the desktop. CTOnews.com attached the video as follows:

Microsoft's startup ringtones are very characteristic, and for many tech fans, the startup ringtones of Windows 95, Windows XP and Windows 7 are very iconic.

However, Microsoft no longer provides boot ringtones in Win8 systems. After receiving suggestions and feedback from many users, Microsoft reintroduced boot ringtones in Win11 systems.
