CTOnews.com, October 28 (Xinhua) Microsoft is releasing a new Xbox application for Windows to Xbox Insider, which is registered with a preview of PC Gaming Insiders, to improve the experience on handheld devices and smaller screens. The version number is 2311.1000.41.0.

CTOnews.com notes that Microsoft has introduced a new compact model that greatly reduces the sidebar on the left and is designed to improve the "handheld and small screen experience". This is a relatively small UI change, but it is very useful on devices such as the ROG Ally with a 7-inch display.

New features are added to CTOnews.com:

Refresh the UI in the installation queue

Updated buttons, fonts and game channel styles

Improved notification UI, including the option to show only unread

The compact mode of the application improves the experience on handheld devices and on small screens

Improved controller navigation for the entire application

The early concept of "Windows handheld mode" was leaked from a hackathon project within Microsoft earlier this year, including floating taskbars, improved game launchers, and changes to Xbox applications.
