CTOnews.com news on November 3, according to netizen r / teslamotors feedback, Tesla Model 3 model in cold weather, located above the rearview mirror, the windshield of the three cameras are prone to fog, resulting in unable to start Autopilot and Full Self-Driving.

The owner reported that even if the anti-fog system was turned on, the camera installed on the windshield could not remove the fog immediately because it did not have a special sensor and anti-fog system. In cold weather, you have to wait more than 20 minutes before driving to make the video picture clear.

After contacting Tesla to arrange a service reservation, Tesla's service team made a remote diagnosis of the vehicle, found no hardware problems, and cancelled the service reservation without any maintenance or repair.

Many car owners reported that there was also the above problem, and Tesla's after-sales team later admitted the problem. Technicians said that they would adjust it later through software and advised car owners to park in areas with low humidity to reduce the problem of fog.

CTOnews.com learned from the report that a user also contacted Tesla to correct the same problem, but Tesla's service center told him it was a problem with the HW4 camera in cold weather. HW4 has not yet entered Model 3, suggesting that other HW4 cameras may have the same problem.
