BYD delivers electric bus chassis to Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and will be put into operation in January next year.

CTOnews.com, Nov. 6 (Xinhua)-- in Monterrey, capital of Nuevo Le ó n, BYD Mexico and Enel X, the international energy company, delivered the first pure electric floor bus chassis to Metrorrey, the public transportation system in Monterey.

The buses will be assembled by BYD in cooperation with local partner bus manufacturer Marcopolo and are expected to be put into operation in January 2024. This cooperation has a total of 21 pure electric 12m high floor buses for the operation of urban public transport lines.

CTOnews.com learned from the BYD official account that the bus uses the latest generation of high-end chassis and blade batteries, and also has the advantages of zero exhaust emissions, reducing noise pollution and improving energy efficiency.

It is worth mentioning that BYD dolphins went on sale in Mexico in September for 535990 pesos. The car has a 44.9 kWh blade battery, which can drive 405km (NEDC) at full charge. Under fast charging condition, it takes only 30 minutes to charge 30% to 80%. The length, width and height are respectively 4125 / 1770 mm 1570 mm, wheelbase 2700mm.
