CTOnews.com, November 8 (Xinhua)-- Microsoft and Oracle Oracle announced in September that they are creating a new cloud-based service: Oracle Database Azure.

Today, the two companies announced another partnership in which Oracle will support Microsoft's Bing search service.

Oracle said in a press release that it had reached a new multi-year agreement with Microsoft that would allow Microsoft to use Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), combined with Microsoft Azure artificial intelligence infrastructure, to support and optimize Microsoft's Bing conversational search.

According to reports, OCI super cluster includes OCI computing bare metal instances, ultra-low latency RDMA cluster network and HPC storage choice. The OCI super cluster can scale to 4096 bare metal instances of OCI computing, with 32768 A100 GPU or 16384 H100 GPU, as well as PB-level high-performance cluster file system storage to efficiently handle large-scale parallel applications.

Oracle said Microsoft could use Azure Kubernetes services on a large scale on its cloud infrastructure services "to support the growing demand for Bing conversational search".

CTOnews.com noted that the press release also quoted Divya Kumar, Microsoft's global head of search and artificial intelligence, as saying: "Microsoft Bing is taking advantage of the latest developments in artificial intelligence to provide a better search experience for people around the world. Our partnership with Oracle, as well as the use of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Microsoft Azure AI Infrastructure, will expand user access and speed up search results."
