The base is the first overseas production base of Changan Automobile, and will build painting, final assembly, engine assembly, battery assembly workshop and related supporting facilities. the design production capacity of the first phase will reach 100000 vehicles per year, and it is planned to be put into production at the beginning of 2025. after the second phase is put into production, the total production capacity of Changan automobile manufacturing base in Thailand will reach 200000 vehicles / year.

Changan Automobile said that the official foundation of the manufacturing base in Thailand marks a new stage in the global layout of Changan Automobile, and it is also an important part of Changan Automobile's implementation of the globalization strategy of "accepting all rivers" and deeply ploughing the localization operation in Thailand.

According to previous reports from CTOnews.com, Changan Automobile announced that it sold 2.110636 million vehicles from January to October this year, an increase of 10.76 percent over the same period last year. Among them, sales of independent brands were 1.747653 million, up 15.93 percent over the same period last year; sales of self-owned passenger cars were 1.34098 million, up 22.06 percent over the same period last year; and overseas sales of independent brands were 19.6873, up 26.17 percent over the same period last year.
