CTOnews.com, 11 / 11 / PRNewswire-FirstCall-Asianet /-- call of Duty announced on its official blog on Friday, local time, that its AI-based voice chat censorship feature has been launched around the world except the Asia-Pacific region, covering "call of Duty: modern Warfare 3", "call of Duty: modern Warfare 2" and "call of Duty: theater".

According to reports, this AI-based voice review function is currently available only in English, and will be extended to Spanish and Portuguese later. Officials say call of Duty: modern Warfare 3, launched on November 10, will make a "new leap" in the fight against poison, with a view to fulfilling previous promises.

This technology can identify hate speech, discriminatory language, harassment and other content in real time. After verification, AI will report voice examples that violate the guidelines to the platform, but will not enforce penalties.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Activision announced in August that it would introduce Modulate's ToxMod technology into the game, which can censor voice chat and text and claims to read up to 14 different languages.

Compared with text, hate speech, discrimination and harassment content transmitted by voice is more difficult to detect. Activision said that the team will use ToxMod to help anti-toxicity team's existing audit work and improve audit efficiency.
