According to CTOnews.com on November 12, buyers of Tesla Cybertruck will be restricted by the "ban on resale" policy for a certain period of time, which has been found in the purchase agreements of other models of the company.

CTOnews.com noted that in the terms and conditions of some recent purchase agreements for Model 3 and Model Y, Tesla said that buyers of Cybertruck would not be able to sell the vehicle for a year after the delivery date. This clause has been found in many ways and is listed under a section called "Cybertruck only".

If the owners of Cybertruck want to sell their vehicles within the first year of delivery, they must first notify Tesla in writing to obtain an exception to the prohibited resale policy so that they can sell it back to Tesla. If Tesla refuses, the seller may be able to obtain written consent from Tesla to resell the Cybertruck to another third party. In a worst-case scenario, Tesla could refuse to sell the company's other vehicles to Cybertruck resellers.

If the owner violates the terms of the agreement, Tesla may seek injunctive relief to prevent the transfer of ownership of the vehicle or require the owner to pay $50000 in liquidated damages or the value received as consideration for sale or transfer, whichever is the higher.

Earlier this week, Martin Viecha, head of investor relations at Tesla, said that the lucky draw for the company's invitation to deliver the event for Cybertruck had been completed and that the invitation for the Cybertruck event would be sent "soon". The event is scheduled to be held at Tesla's Texas super factory on November 30, but as of this writing, it is not clear whether anyone has received their invitation.
