2.5 PB capacity, Seagate releases new Exos CORVAULT data storage system
CTOnews.com November 14, Seagate today released the latest Exos CORVAULT 4U106 massive data storage system, which provides a capacity of 2.5 PB.
CTOnews.com with Seagate's new Exos CORVAULT data storage system is described as follows:
Seagate Exos CORVAULT 4U106 uses Seagate high-capacity Exos hard drives, supports self-healing technology, reduces storage network resources by up to 50%, and improves overall rack power efficiency by up to 30%. The self-healing capabilities of Seagate Autonomous hard disk Regeneration (ADR) and Advanced distributed Autonomous Protection Technology (ADAPT) help reduce downtime and optimize data center resources, thereby reducing carbon footprints and e-waste.
Seagate Exos CORVAULT 4U106 is already available in 2PB CMR hard drive models and will now be available in 2PB and 2.5PB HAMR configurations. Both new configurations can be ordered from global storage dealers in November and will be available at the end of December.
