The M2 Max comes with up to 12 CPU cores and 38 GPU cores.

The M2 Ultra comes with up to 24 CPU cores and 76 GPU cores.

However, Apple no longer has such an upgrade method in the M3 series chips, and the number of GPU cores in the M3 Max has not doubled compared to the M3 Pro.

Apple has not announced the M3 Ultra chip yet, and if Apple continues to increase the number of CPU and GPU cores on the chip, I predict a maximum of 32 CPU cores and 80 GPU cores.

Apple also expects to increase the unified memory limit, which is estimated to support 256GB.

Gulman said Apple will announce details of the M3 Ultra chip in the coming months and will release it in 2024.
