According to reports, the Tadpole 4K webcam is mainly portable and is designed for use on the road. It uses a Sony IMX582 sensor, has 4800 megapixels, and has a lens with six pieces of glass and an f1.8 aperture. Officials say it is "the smallest webcam in the world", measuring 1.2 inches (30.48 mm) square and weighing 45 grams.

The Tadpole 4K webcam is clamped, and officials say it can be installed on any laptop display and connected by USB-C cable. In addition, officials say it uses an artificial intelligence-driven directional microphone to filter out background noise and other unwanted sounds.

The Opal Tadpole also has a "one-button mute" function, and its USB-C plug has a built-in capacitive touch sensor that can be muted immediately with a click.
