CTOnews.com, November 16, at today's Microsoft Ignite 2023 developer conference, Microsoft announced that Bing Chat and its Enterprise Premium Bing Chat for Enterprise have officially changed their name to Copilot!

Caitlin Roulston, director of communications at Microsoft, said, "changing the name of 'Bing Chat Enterprise' to' Copilot' reflects our vision of creating a unified Copilot experience for consumers and business customers."

Of course, it's not just the name that has changed. Starting from December 1, anyone who logs in to Bing using an enterprise account (Microsoft Entra ID to be exact) will enjoy the benefits of "commercial data protection" when using Copilot. This means that their data will not be saved or used to train AI models, and Microsoft will not be able to access it.

"Copilot will update its commercial terms and conditions on December 1 to reflect that it is a general product of Microsoft," she added. "as part of this, it will inherit the general license terms of Microsoft's online services... over time, Microsoft will extend Copilot's business data protection to more Entra ID users at no extra cost."

It is worth mentioning that in addition to Copilot.Microsoft.com and Bing, Copilot can now be used directly in Windows and is included in Microsoft's series of enterprise subscription programs-- Microsoft 365e, E5, Business Premium and Business Standard-- at no additional cost.

In addition, starting from December 1, Copilot will be included in Microsoft 365F3. For all other customers, the service will be supported at US $5 per month (CTOnews.com Note: currently about RMB 36).
