CCC and FiRa Alliance work together to develop, maintain and promote new specifications to improve the interactive experience between mobile phones and cars

CTOnews.com, November 17 (Xinhua)-- Automotive Connectivity Alliance (CCC) and FiRa Alliance recently announced a partnership to develop UWB features for the CCC digital key standard to improve future interaction between mobile phones and cars.

The CCC and FiRa alliance will work together to develop and maintain UWB technical specifications for digital key standards, which will be overseen by Apple engineer Jinjing Jiang.

The partnership is expected to encourage wider adoption of UWB technology in vehicles. So far, UWB has been used in the digital key standard to allow smartphones or wearables to access the vehicle or start the car within the appropriate range.
