CTOnews.com November 18 news, the App Store was included in the European Union's new digital antitrust list, Apple has formally filed an appeal, but has not yet released the relevant details of the appeal documents.

In its latest tweet, the European Court of Justice said it had received Apple's appeal application and would publish further information on the court's website in due course.

As noted in the tweet, Apple isn't the only company to object to the implementation of the Digital Markets Act. Facebook parent Meta, TikTok owner ByteDance (Byte) has also submitted applications.

CTOnews.com quoted Reuters as saying TikTok said the "gatekeeper" could be counterproductive and help big tech companies fight growing competitors.

TikTok's filing states: "Our platform has been operating in Europe for more than five years and is arguably the most challenging platform for more entrenched platform businesses. "
