CTOnews.com, November 20, the official account of Huaihai holding Group announced that it has signed a 10 billion sodium ion battery project with Fudi Battery, with a total investment of 10 billion yuan and annual production capacity of 30GWh, which will create the world's largest manufacturer of sodium power system for minicars.

CTOnews.com noted that the signing is the second cooperation between BYD and Xuzhou enterprises. Fudi Battery Co., Ltd. and Xugong Group jointly invested 10 billion yuan to build a new energy power battery production base project in November 2022.

The 310000 square meter factory building and dormitory of the production base have all been capped, and the construction of mechanical and electrical installation and decoration is in full swing. It is expected that the production equipment will be installed and debugged in mid-late December, and trial production will be carried out in early March 2024.

The two sides will take Xuzhou as the center to expand the national and even global market demand for mini-vehicles, and take the base as the center to be responsible for the market expansion and operation of Jiangsu-Shandong-Henan-Anhui sodium energy storage products.
