CTOnews.com November 23 news, according to foreign science and technology media Serve the Home reports, Intel held this month's SC23 conference, announced the Gaudi 3 acceleration card.

The report says that Gaudi 3 uses the 5nm process, with a bandwidth 1.5 times that of the previous Gaudi 2 (7nm process), four times the BF16 power, and twice the network power.

Intel plans to release Gaudi 3 in 2024, with HBM3e RAM with the highest 128GB, which will greatly improve AI learning and training performance.

CTOnews.com quoted the media as saying that since Gaudi 2 and the Nvidia H100 are in the same echelon, Gaudi 3 is targeting the Nvidia H200 accelerator card after its launch.

Intel announced that in addition to the Gaudi 3 accelerator card, it also introduced a new Intel Max Series 1550 graphics card, which will be installed in the newly launched Aurora supercomputer.

The Aurora is the second megabyte secondary supercomputer in history, and once fully tuned, it may be the most powerful ever.

Intel Max 1550 GPU scored 48.4 samples per second in the CosmicTagger single GPU training throughput benchmark, compared with AMD's MI250 score of 31.2 samples and Nvidia's A100 score of 14.7 samples.

In the CosmicTagger single-node training benchmark, Intel's GPU scored 280samples per second, while AMD and Nvidia had GPU of 120and 54.9respectively.
