EA announced a new patent that allows players to dub their characters with their own voice in the game.

CTOnews.com, Nov. 29 / PRNewswire-Asianet /-- EA recently filed a new patent with regulators, showing that the development team is working on a custom voice system that allows players to dub characters in the game with their own voice.

▲ source EA patent map shows that players are expected to need to read multiple pieces of text, and then say that the input voice content data will be converted through the game's built-in speech synthesizer module, which can use acoustic feature encoders to display the player's voice characteristics in the game, as well as capture non-verbal elements of voice, such as tone, mood and stress.

CTOnews.com has previously reported that companies such as Apple and Microsoft have launched similar features that allow users to create their own "personal voice" by entering voice.

EA has released a number of immersion-oriented games in recent years, and given the patent filed by EA, the company is likely to use relevant technologies in future family fun, simulation or exploration games to achieve more immersion.
