Microsoft Win11 Canary 26002 new hidden variables, when enabled, will disable the old taskbar in the Win10 era

CTOnews.com December 1, Microsoft yesterday released an update of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26002 to the Canary channel, and according to the post released by X platform user PhantomOcean3, Microsoft added a hidden variable "DisableWin10Taskbar" to this version to prevent users from enabling the old Windows 10 taskbar in the system.

The post CTOnews.com posted by ▲ PhantomOcean3 learned that if the user manually enables the variable "DisableWin10Taskbar", the system will prevent the user from using the Windows 10 taskbar, and the user's attempt to launch the Windows 10 taskbar through any third-party tool will not work.

Microsoft's move may be the first step in forcing people to use the Windows11 taskbar, and future Windows11 users may need to use the Windows 10-style taskbar provided by third-party applications.
