It is reported that Fuji will launch this XF16-50mm lens to replace the current XF18-55mm f / 2.84lens. Fuji's new XF16-50mm f / 2.84.8R LM WR uses a linear motor with an aperture ring, which adds weather protection compared to the XF18-55mm, but eliminates the OIS anti-shake.

Foreign media said that the "internal zoom" is more complex to design and manufacture, so the cost is higher, and the technology also brings higher tightness and balance.

At present, Fuji has not yet announced when to launch this lens. CTOnews.com noted that the current market price of Fuji's old XF18-55mm f / 2.84 lens is around 2599 yuan.
