CTOnews.com, December 11 (Xinhua)-- Alfa Romeo is about to launch its latest compact SUV, named Brennero, as the brand's entry-level model, the new car is positioned lower than the Tonale Tonali. Brennero will offer pure electric and plug-in hybrid models, which are expected to be officially released next year. The new car will be built on the CMP / eCMP platform and will be technologically consistent with Stellantis's other compact SUV models.

From the imaginary pictures and espionage photos disclosed by foreign media, Brennero inherited the iconic design style of Alfa Romeo. The design of the front end of the vehicle is complex, the shape of the middle net is distinct, and the large air intake grille and side air intake show its sports temperament. The design of penetrating headlights and internal light sources enhances the sense of lines. CTOnews.com noted that the side of the body uses a suspended roof, the front and rear wings create a wide body effect, and the dynamic waistline design continues the brand's sports aesthetics. The rear part of the car adopts a round design, with a unique shape of the rear spoiler and taillights.

In terms of power system, the pure electric version of Brennero is expected to have both single-motor and dual-motor configurations. At present, more details on the power of the new car have not been released.

The Brennero will be Alfa Romeo's first all-electric car, and Stellantis has confirmed that the next generation of Giulia and Stelvio will be electric vehicles.
