Shulou(Shulou.com)12/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, December 12 (Xinhua)-- Google is testing a new feature called "Private Space", which CTOnews.com notes is similar to "Secure Folder" on Samsung phones and allows users to create a separate private space on their phones for storing sensitive information and installing private applications, Android Police reported.
Currently, the Private Space feature is still in the testing stage and is hidden in the Android 14 QPR2 Beta 2 update. Android developer Mishaal Rahman successfully activated it and found that the feature can be found in Settings > Security and Privacy > Private spaces.
To set up the private space, you need to log in to the Google account, and then a new profile will be created on the phone, which is associated with the main profile on the phone. Private spaces can be locked with passwords, patterns, or PIN codes, and can be set to be unlocked using fingerprints.
After logging in to the private space, users can log in to their Google account and install the application using a separate Play store. Apps installed in private space can be accessed from the bottom of the mobile app drawer, and users can hide them with fingerprints. In addition, users can store private files, pictures, videos and other data in the file manager of the private space.
Android 15 is expected to be launched next year, when the Private Space feature is likely to be officially unveiled. This function will provide Android users with a more secure and reliable space to store private data to enhance the user experience.
