Nova Launcher was popular with fussy users before major mobile phone manufacturers tightened their access to third-party desktop initiators.

Early this morning, Nova Launcher announced the release of 8.0.9 beta, which adds support for Smartspacer feed in addition to improving UI, fixing crashes and other minor issues on Android 14 QPR2.

CTOnews.com Note: Google's At a glance function for Android phones is similar to Apple's iOS's "real-time activity" and widget "smart stack" function, which can quickly display a series of real-time notifications on the phone's desktop, such as takeout information, ride-hailing distance, express package tracking, alarm clock countdown, real-time weather warning, boarding pass and so on.

The "Smartspacer" mentioned above can be understood as a third-party enhancement of Google's official "Information at a glance" widget. When the phone is not root, the tool can display widgets through the "Information at a glance" style and user experience.

When the phone is used by tools such as root or in conjunction with Shizuku, Smartspacer can integrate with the "information list" set in the system through "advanced mode" to provide a more advanced experience.
