According to CTOnews.com news on December 18, Zhiji announced today that in December 2023, Zhiji, a vehicle with L3 self-driving function, was officially granted a high-speed road self-driving test license in Shanghai. In the future, Zhiji Automobile will carry out self-driving road tests on L3 high-speed expressways in designated areas under the supervision and guidance of the Shanghai Municipal Government, in order to accelerate the landing of high-level intelligent driving products and meet the needs of users for high-level intelligent driving cars.

Zhiji Automobile said that it is applying for the L3 announcement access pilot of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and is expected to become the first batch of models to enter the L3 self-driving access pilot.

According to previous reports from CTOnews.com, on December 12, Zhiji announced that the IM AD highway NOA was officially connected to the whole country, radiating the expressway sections of 333 cities across the country (except Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) and covering 59 city viaducts; the total length of expressway viaduct for NOA is 389000 km.

According to the plan, the IM AD city NOA will start the public test of users in Shanghai at the end of 2023 as scheduled, and will be launched one after another before the Spring Festival, and Shanghai will take the lead in opening up. After that, the advance version of the urban commuter model will be launched in mid-2024, and the commuter model will cover 100 cities across the country by 2024.
