China Mobile launches the world's first 2.6GHz 5G integrated home base station

CTOnews.com August 26, China Mobile Research Institute and China Mobile Zijin (Jiangsu) Innovation Research Institute officially released the world's first 2.6GHz 5G integrated home base station at the sixth Future Network Development Conference held on August 24.

China Mobile said that integrated home base stations can quickly achieve 5G deep coverage of homes, business halls, conference rooms, small shops and other scenarios, providing stable, secure and end-to-end guaranteed network services for rich indoor business applications.

According to reports, the product can make use of indoor network cable or optical fiber for return transmission, eliminating all kinds of complex construction, such as pulling special line, wall drilling and so on, so that users can plug and play 5G network. At the same time, it has the characteristics of compact, beautiful and extremely simple operation and maintenance.

In July 2022, China Mobile has completed the end-to-end application verification in Suzhou, with good business indicators and can provide differentiated network services on the basis of the existing home width.

CTOnews.com learned that the 2022 interim performance report shows that China Mobile has 970 million customers, including 511 million 5G package customers, and 256 million cable broadband customers, including 230 million household broadband customers.
