Due to the serious shortage of semiconductors and other factors, Nikon Japan announced the adoption of "open pricing" for Nikkel lenses.

Thank CTOnews.com netizens and independent photographers for their clue delivery! CTOnews.com, January 15, January 12, Nikon issued a notice that due to the serious shortage of semiconductors, rising raw materials and other factors, it will adjust the price of some of its accessories from January 19, and adopt open and free pricing for most Nicole lenses, including almost all Z and F Nikel lenses as well as FTZ adapter rings.

Instead of implementing the recommended selling price, the pricing power is left to the dealer, which means an increase in price in most cases, especially for new and popular products. At present, this strategy is only aimed at the Japanese market, and other markets need further information.

Notice of price adjustment and open pricing for some products January 12, 2023

Thank you for your continuous support to Nikon products.

Starting from Thursday, January 19, 2023, we will revise the suggested retail price and freight of golf laser rangefinder (2 products) and camera accessories (8 products).

In the recent harsh environment such as insufficient supply of semiconductors and skyrocketing prices of raw materials, we have been committed to improving efficiency and reducing costs, but the current situation is that the efforts of enterprises alone cannot absorb the medium-and long-term cost increases, so we have adjusted prices.

In addition, for Nicole lenses (Z and F bayonets) and bayonet adapter FTZ II, we will change the suggested retail price to an open price.

Scheduled date: January 19, 2023 (Thursday)
