Received a request from the project team that the customer wanted to install a 12C client in the Windows XP system.

After verification and communication with oracle factory personnel, the xp system can not be installed with 12C client.

There are some problems in the follow-up, so I won't talk about it here.

The result: what the customer really wants is to connect to the 12C database in the xp system.

Solution: install oracle 11.2.0.4 client to solve the problem of xp system connecting to 12C library. It is compatible with 11g and 12C.

Ps:

12C clients support win 7 systems at a minimum.

It is not possible to use 11.2.0.1 client to connect to 12C database before.
